Commissions

The Village Council appoints a nine-member Planning Commission and a seven-member Parks Commission.  These Commissioners serve staggered, three-year terms.  The Village Council also appoints various individuals to serve as representatives to other Village and community agencies.

With the renewed interest in the Village's downtown and historic assets, two new groups have been formed.  The Downtown Development Authority was formed in 2004.  The nine member board serves staggered four-year terms.

The Historic Study Committee, formed in 2005, is exploring avenues to save and enhance the Village's many and varied historic resources.  This is a study group at this time and is in the process of formalizing a recommendation to Village Council.
