Village of Manchester, Michigan

For September, chipping will begin Tuesday, September 8th.  The Village provides brush chipping on the first Monday of each month, beginning May 4th through October 5th, except for the month of July.

Brush should be cut into 4 ft lengths.  Nothing should be larger than 3 inches in diameer.  All brush should be placed near the curb, not in the street, with the cut end toward the street.  Please pull brush piles to the street no later than 7:00 am in the 1st Monday.  We ask that piles not be pulled to the curb until the weekend before the chipping date.  Brush piles with other materials such as yard clippings, stones, etc. will be left at curbside for the resident to clear.  Please be considerate of the safety of the DPW crew. 

The Village does not provide pick-up for yard wastes.  Leaf Collection is in the month of November, only.  Residents may contract with Allied Waste individually for yard waste service by calling 1-800-589-9139.
